India’s Best Brand of the Year research & survey methodology discovers what brands consumers trust the most and find the best in their respective industry category based upon the quality, features, pricing, discounts, after sales service & reputation, etc. The study was conducted by Berkshire Media, USA, a company specializing in market research & brand surveys. The rigorous survey techniques and research strategies of Berkshire Media uncover insights that decode the consumer mindset and reveal what drives purchase decisions and trust.
The entire research platform was divided into the following levels:-
First Stage: The level one of the research was initiated by preparing a portfolio of 500 brands from different regions of India across diversified products & service sectors and 46 sub categories (Industry segments) were drawn up through secondary research using consumer surveys, market studies and brand researches. The list of brands was prepared using existing listings, rankings and other research reports and available sources.
Second Stage: The preliminary list of 500 brands was scrutinized on a scale of 1 to 10 (where 1 is the lowest and 10 is the highest) and thoroughly examined by our research team on the parameters of Brand Image, Brand Growth, Brand Identity, Brand Leadership, Brand Value, Brand Impact, Brand Innovation, Brand Trust, and Brand Equity.
A one to one consumer survey was conducted upon these 500 brands where the consumers were asked to vote for the brands they find BEST in that particular industry segment and at the same time survey questionnaire further asked the respondents to give their valuable feedback upon the quality, features, pricing, discounts, after sales service & reputation of the brand, followed by a trust rating by the consumers for the brands they voted for. The above-mentioned parameters were taken into consideration by the Berkshire Media research team in order to shortlist the highest voted 200 brands to best reflect the consumer’s choice.
Third Stage: The list of 200 shortlisted brands based on the above parameters was sent to a panel of eminent jury members to be rated on a scale of 1 to 10. (The jury consists of top renowned corporate leaders from various areas such as Business, Finance, Advertising & Media, including an international expert advisor).
Final Stage: The final list of INDIA’S BEST BRAND OF THE YEAR was based on cumulative scores received by the jury, editorial team and consumer votes received through surveys.
